            KinderleinGerman 

In the“KinderleinGerman” group, we will be using unique program that uses music, movement, story-telling, art, and drama to teach foreign language to children. The emphasis is on hearing the spoken language, learning the songs, and in the process, learning target vocabulary and responding to commands. 

               KinderGerman 

German language learning through conversation, music, arts and crafts and media.. Students will also learn about customs, culture, geography and famous people. Writing and reading skills are not necessary, but for the students who want there is the option of homework which will require these 2 skills. 

              Middle School German

Filled with fun language activities that are focusing on the four key areas of language study: listening, speaking, reading and writing. Through introduction of new unit themes and grammar concepts students will become familiar with common vocabulary terms and phrases, comprehend various grammar patterns, participate in simple conversations and become familiar with cultural and geographical aspects. Reading and writing in German is a skill that is practiced in every class. There will be written homework.
TThis class is also aligned with he Goethe-Zertifikat A1: Fit in Deutsch 1 is a German exam for children and young people between 10 and 16 years of age. It certifies that candidates have acquired very basic language skills and corresponds to the first level (A1) on the six-level scale of competence laid down in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

            High School German

 This is an active class that gives the beginning student the vocabulary necessary to communicate on a basic level with German speakers on a variety of familiar subjects such as school, home, activities, etc. The student will learn how to formulate sentences and dialogues through listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Cultural activities will accompany language lessons to acquaint students with food, artistic expression, and diversity of the German-speaking world. State standards are met in this class and student needs to homework and quizzes.  Monthly proof of work samples in writing, reading, grammar and vocabulary will be available. Class is a-g.

A-G curriculum is to ensure students have attained core subject knowledge that will fully and effectively prepare them for college.
